Surgical Instrument Maintenance

Deniz brand surgical instruments, which are meticulously manufactured with appropriate specifications, can be used for many years if used correctly and properly maintained. Performing the maintenance schedule regularly not only reduces maintenance costs but also extends the lifespan of the instruments. To properly preserve surgical instruments, please read the following information.

  • Wash new surgical instruments before the first sterilization
  • Substances that can damage the instrument such as bleach, saline solution, blood and tissue residues must not remain on the instrument after washing and before sterilization
  • Always use distilled water to clean the instruments
  • Never use saline solution to clean the instruments
  • To prevent corrosion contamination that may occur during sterilization, separate deformed products before sterilization
  • To avoid damage from pressure during sterilization, make sure that the locks of lockable instruments are open
  • Lubricate the locks and joints of the instruments at regular intervals with water-soluble lubricants
  • Protect the tips of delicate instruments with protective material
  • Never use surgical instruments outside their intended area of use
